Fellowship Credit Union obtained their state charter in 1959. Over the years our field of membership has expanded to include the counties of Prowers and Kiowa. If you are a resident of these counties you can become a member of Fellowship Credit Union.
On December 31, 1958 the Charter Members of Fellowship Credit Union met at the home of Sherman Thompson to discuss and apply for a charter to form a Credit Union.
Signing the Certificate of Organization included: F.C. Sniff, Leslie Lacy, F.C. Felter, Leslie DeHaven, Vera May, Mae Downing, Blanche Rasdell and Wilda Davis.
Upon receipt of its charter and approval of the Fellowship Credit Union by-laws by the Colorado State Banking Commission the first membership meeting of Fellowship Credit Union was held February 6, 1959.
In August, 1981, Fellowship Credit Union asked the Banking Department for a change in their field of membership. Upon approval by the State Bank Department the new field of membership was to a community charter and it included those members living and/or working in the city limits of Lamar Colorado.
August 1983 saw another change to the area which Fellowship Credit Union could serve --members living or working in the west half of Prowers County.
With the merger of East Prowers Federal Credit Union in August of 1986 Fellowship Credit Union expanded its field of membership again to cover all of Prowers County. Our branch office in Holly serves our members in the Eastern part of the county.
In the summer of 1994 Fellowship Credit Union was granted another field of membership expansion to also serve the residents of Kiowa County.
